Hana Financial Group to renovate 2,000 national cemetery tombstones

Hana Financial Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to improve the maintenance and visiting environment of national cemeteries in South Korea.

The initiative focuses on renovating approximately 2,000 aging tombstones at the Daejeon National Cemetery's independence activists section and the Seoul National Cemetery's service members section. The restoration work will include repainting, joint repair, and cleaning to address the deterioration of facilities that have been in use for decades.

Additionally, the group will install 15 solar-powered smart shades at both locations to enhance visitor comfort. These shades will automatically open and close based on temperature and wind speed. The project aims to strengthen respect for national merit recipients and support their bereaved families through private-public cooperation.
