Hana Zagorová biography details singer's final days

A new book titled ‘Hana Zagorová: Žít tady a teď’ (Hana Zagorová: Living Here and Now), written by Pavel Hénik, will commemorate the fourth anniversary of the singer Hana Zagorová’s death. The publication features personal recollections from her husband, Štefan Margita, regarding her final days.

Margita describes how Zagorová remained optimistic and focused on her musical future while hospitalized at the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion in Prague. She frequently listened to new compositions sent by Luboš Kříž and expressed enthusiasm about recording a new album. According to Margita, medical staff maintained a sense of hope to keep her spirits high, even though they were aware she would not be able to record again.

Despite several cancellations of a major concert at Lucerna, Zagorová had been planning smaller performances, including an intended event on the boat Matylda. The book provides a detailed look at her life, career, and the circumstances surrounding her passing on August 26, 2022.
