Hanam City outlines infrastructure and transport plans for Misa district

Hanam Mayor Lee Hyun-jae held a resident dialogue session for the Misa district to report on the progress of local development projects and address community concerns. The city reported that out of 227 suggestions received this year, 86 have been completed and 108 are currently underway.

Key infrastructure priorities include accelerating the selection of a contractor for the Subway Line 9 Misa section and advocating for the GTX-D route to pass through Hwangsan Intersection and Gyosan. The city is also working toward the opening of the Hanam Education Support Office in September 2027 and the opening of Misa 4 High School next March to alleviate overcrowded classrooms.

Development projects for leisure and culture include the K-Culture Complex (K-Star World), a proposed 5-star hotel, and a national garden feasibility study. Additionally, the city plans to invest 5.8 billion won into the Misa Lake Park water screen and music fountain project. Medical infrastructure improvements include the construction of Yonsei Hanam Hospital, which is expected to open in the first half of 2028.
