Hanau 64‑year‑old motorcyclist severely injured in B276 crash
On 28 June 2026 at about 10:15 a.m., a 64‑year‑old motorcyclist from Hanau was seriously injured in a collision on the B276 between Schotten and Eschenrod in the Vogelsberg district of Germany. The rider attempted to overtake two cars ahead, misjudging that the lead car was turning left onto a side road. He struck the left‑rear side of that vehicle and was thrown from his motorcycle onto the car. A rescue helicopter flew him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The crash involved four vehicles – two cars and two motorcycles. The impact forced the second car to perform an emergency brake, which a following motorcyclist hit, causing additional property damage. Police estimated total vehicle damage at roughly €40,000.
