Hanau to host inaugural Halloween swimming event

Hanau will host its first Halloween swimming event on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The indoor pool on Eugen-Kaiser-Straße will open exclusively from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM to provide a unique experience for families and teenagers.

The event, organized by the municipal baths team and apprentices, will feature Halloween decorations, special lighting, and a spooky soundscape. Activities include a sensory barefoot path made of materials like water beads and “slime,” as well as a pumpkin swimming activity where guests use darkened goggles to find floating pumpkins for prizes.

At 6:00 PM, the water in the sports pool will be dyed a “blood red” color using a special, health-safe dye designed to create an atmospheric effect without leaving residue on skin or swimwear.
