Hanayome Noren special drama to air in 2027 for Noto recovery

The popular daytime drama series ‘Hanayome Noren’ will return for a New Year special titled ‘Hanayome Noren: Let Flowers of Smiles Bloom in Noto’ on January 4, 2027. Produced by Tokai TV and Fuji TV, the special marks the third anniversary of the Noto Peninsula earthquake and aims to support regional reconstruction efforts.

Starring Michiko Hada and Akiko Yada, the story is set in the Wakura Onsen area of Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The plot follows Naoko (Hada), a skilled innkeeper, as she assists with VIP guests and navigates local challenges in the recovering region. The production is scheduled to begin filming in the Noto area in late November.

The original series, which ran from 2010 to 2015, was highly regarded for its portrayal of hospitality and human connection in Ishikawa Prefecture. This revival serves as a tribute to the resilience of the Noto community.
