Handball Club RK Polet Disbands After 57 Years in Stančić, Croatia
Rukometni klub Polet, founded in 1969 in the village of Stančić near Zagreb, announced via its social‑media accounts that it will cease to exist from the next season, ending 57 years of activity.
The club was known for its strong youth programme, notably a generation of boys born in 2002‑2003 that captured several consecutive Croatian championships in both mini‑handball and the senior age groups. From that cohort emerged two players who later represented the Croatian national team, Dominik Kuzmanović and Zlatko Raužan. In its final years the senior side competed in the third tier of the national league (3. HRL Center). The farewell message highlighted the club’s community role and the emotional difficulty of saying goodbye.
