Handball clubs in Catalonia host tournaments and community outreach events

Club Handbol Parets won the fourth edition of the Eduard Serra Memorial Tournament. In the final held on September 13, the host team defeated CH Ràpid Cornellà with a score of 26-24. Pol Valero, a new center for the Parets team, was named the most valuable player of the final.

The tournament featured approximately 180 players across various age groups, including youth and senior categories, and served as a seasonal welcome for the club. Other participating clubs included CJH Mataró, Handbol Cornellà, Handbol Sant Llorenç, Handbol Montornès, and CH La Garriga.

In Calella, Unió Esportiva Handbol Calella (UEHC) is organizing a street handball event in collaboration with the local government. Part of the 'Calella, Catalan Handball City 2026-2027' initiative, the event aims to bring the sport to public spaces through mini-camps, skill circuits, and matches to increase visibility among residents and tourists. The program aligns with the Catalan Handball Federation’s 'Handball in the Street' initiative.
