Handball Erice wins Leno pre-season tournament

AC Life Style Handball Erice secured first place at the pre-season tournament held in Leno, Lombardy. The defending Italian champions achieved four victories in four matches against other Serie A1 teams.

The team's results included a 32-5 win against Cassano Magnago, followed by victories over Leno (25-13), Mestrino (24-15), and Casalgrande Padana (25-13). Coach Fred Bougeant utilized the full roster to test physical conditioning and team cohesion ahead of the upcoming season.

Player Alexandra Do Nascimento noted the team's ability to maintain compactness despite heat and fatigue. The club now shifts its focus to the Serie A1 season opener on September 12 at the Pino Cardella sports hall, which will feature a historic derby against Handball Trapani.
