Handball legend Nicolae Neșovici passes away

Handball legend Nicolae Neșovici has passed away. A prominent figure in Romanian handball, Neșovici was a key goalkeeper for Minaur Baia Mare during their golden era between 1980 and 1990.

During his decade with the club, he helped secure two IHF Cups in 1985 and 1988. His career achievements include a Romanian championship title, three runner-up finishes, seven bronze medals, and three Romanian Cups. Neșovici also represented the Romanian national team in 25 matches. Following his playing career, he served as a coach at Minaur Baia Mare, where he won two Romanian championships and one Romanian Cup.
