Handball match between PAOK and Ionikos postponed due to court conditions

The scheduled handball match between PAOK and Ionikos NF for the Handball Premier season was postponed at the Mikra 3 facility due to unsuitable playing conditions. The court surface was covered in adhesive residue left behind from promotional stickers used during a previous women's Super Cup event.

Following the postponement, a dispute has emerged regarding responsibility for the facility's condition. PAOK issued a statement blaming the Thessaloniki Sports Facilities (EAKTH) for failing to clean the taraflex surface. In response, EAKTH released a statement defending its actions, claiming they had formally notified the Hellenic Handball Federation (OXE) about the stickers following a match on September 21. EAKTH asserts that while an OXE representative visited the site on September 22 to remove some stickers, the promised follow-up to complete the cleaning was not fulfilled. The match will be rescheduled by the Federation at a later date.
