Handball Trapani to debut against champions Erice

Handball Trapani is set to make its debut in the top-tier championship with a match against the reigning Italian champions, AC Life Style Handball Erice. The game is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, at the Pino Cardella Sports Hall at 18:00.

Handball Trapani coach Luca Alvarez Vitale noted that while the team is young and perhaps inexperienced, their primary goal is to secure safety in the league. He expressed honor in facing the champions, describing the matchup as a significant event for the local territory.

The upcoming regular season features 14 teams competing in a round-robin format. The season is scheduled to run from September 12, 2026, to May 1, 2027, with the top four teams advancing to the Scudetto play-offs.
