Handon Management Committee to host 2026 Handon Run in Hanam

The Handon Management Committee is organizing the ‘2026 Handon Run’ on September 20 at Misa Gyeongjeong Park in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province. The event, which expects approximately 3,000 participants, features 10km and 6km courses. All finishers will receive a Handon lunch box consisting of pork sliders, lard rice balls, and pork gangjeong.

To add novelty, the committee introduced the ‘Find the Pork Belly Finisher’ event, awarding prizes to participants who cross the finish line in 33rd and 333rd place. The festival includes various brand booths and activities from ten sponsors, including Nongshim and Seoul Milk.

This event follows the committee’s participation in the ‘2026 Korea Agriculture Expo’ held at the aT Center in Seoul. During the expo, officials including Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Song Mi-ryung and Committee Chairman Lee Ki-hong promoted the value of Korean pork and its nutritional benefits, such as lard, to consumers.
