Hang Lung Properties to achieve 100% renewable energy across Mainland China portfolio
Hang Lung Properties Limited has announced that its entire portfolio of 11 operating properties across nine cities in the Chinese Mainland will be 100% powered by renewable electricity. The transition is set to be completed on October 1, 2026, when Riverside 66 in Tianjin reaches the milestone.
The company’s portfolio covers 2.65 million square meters of gross floor area. By procuring renewable electricity from wind and solar sources under China’s green power policy framework, Hang Lung aims to cover electricity usage for both landlord operations and tenants. This includes luxury brands, banks, and multinational companies.
By the end of 2026, Hang Lung expects to procure approximately 440,655 MWh of renewable electricity, which is estimated to avoid 227,513 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.
