Hangartfest 2026 to return to Pesaro with contemporary dance program

Hangartfest, a contemporary dance festival, will return to Pesaro from September 4 to 20, 2026. Supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Marche Region, and the Municipality of Pesaro, the event will feature 26 appointments over two weeks and three weekends.

The program includes 11 national debuts or premieres, three co-productions, and two site-specific special projects. The festival aims to bridge established Italian and international artists with emerging talent, integrating dance with live music, video, theater, and visual arts. Central themes include the exploration of identity, memory, and contemporary transformations through the human body.

Key venues include the ex-church of La Maddalena, Palazzo Gradari, Villa Imperiale, Spazio Torrso, and Galleria Roma. Silvia Gribaudi is scheduled to open the festival with ‘GRACES’ at La Maddalena. Other featured works include ‘ATTEONE, IL BOSCO’ and ‘FUORICAMPO’ as part of a three-year residency and co-production project involving Michele Ifigenia Colturi and Lucia Mauri.
