Hangartfest contemporary dance festival returns to Pesaro

The 22nd edition of Hangartfest, a contemporary dance festival, is scheduled to take place in Pesaro, Italy, from September 4 to September 20. The festival features 26 scheduled events, including 11 national debuts and premieres, three co-productions, and two site-specific projects.

Artistic director Antonio Cioffi stated that the program aims to create a dialogue between established Italian and international artists and emerging performers. The festival integrates dance with live music, video, theater, and visual arts. Performances will be held at various locations, including the Maddalena Centro Arti Performative, Palazzo Gradari, Galleria Roma, and Villa Imperiale, as well as through a collaboration with the Fe. M – Festival di Microarchitettura.

Notable international productions include ‘Graces’ by Silvia Gribaudi, ‘Gooldroom’ by the group Nanou, ‘Pneu’ with Viktor Cernicky, and ‘Trayectoria del polvo VII’ featuring Nshoma Nkwabi. The festival focuses on the human body as a space to explore identity, memory, and contemporary transformations.
