Hanguk Fest to celebrate Korean culture in Buenos Aires

The Hanguk Fest, a celebration of South Korean culture, will take place on Sunday, October 25, at Parque Los Andes in the Chacarita neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The free event is scheduled to run from 12:00 to 19:00.

The festival will feature more than 50 stands offering a variety of experiences, including traditional Korean music, dance performances, and K-pop shows. Attendees can explore Korean gastronomy with dishes such as kimchi and bibimbap, as well as Korean cosmetics (K-beauty) and traditional activities like calligraphy, origami, and hanbok (traditional clothing) trials.

The event follows the recent visit of the K-pop group BTS to Argentina, reflecting the growing influence of the “Hallyu” or Korean Wave in the region. The festival is part of the Tecweek 2026 initiative promoted by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires.
