Hanhart launches limited edition 36mm MAD Preventor HD12

Hanhart has introduced a new 36mm limited edition version of its Preventor HD12 watch, developed in collaboration with British watch enthusiast Russell, known as MAD Watch Collector. The new model features a compact, wrist-friendly case measuring 10.5mm in thickness with a 43mm lug-to-lug distance.

The timepiece utilizes Hanhart’s proprietary HD12 steel, a specialized alloy designed for high surface hardness while maintaining corrosion resistance. Through a multi-stage manufacturing process involving carbon diffusion and a transparent PVD hard coating, the case achieves a surface hardness of up to 1,200 HV, significantly higher than the approximately 220 HV found in conventional 316L steel.

Key specifications include a Black Forest green dial with luminous Arabic numerals and cathedral hands coated in Super-LumiNova C3 X2 GL. The watch is water-resistant to 150m and is powered by a Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. It is available with options for leather straps or a hardened steel bracelet featuring tool-free fine adjustment.
