Hanjin Group Airlines Produce Audio‑Book Collection for Disadvantaged Children
Employees from five Hanjin Group airlines – Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jin Air, Air Busan and Air Seoul – gathered at Korean Air’s headquarters in Seoul on 24 May to record eight fairy‑tale audiobooks. The volunteers, about 20 in total, included cabin crew, in‑flight‑announcement trainers and other staff who received voice‑acting training before recording six Korean‑language and two English‑language titles.
The completed audiobooks were packaged with 400 printed books into 50 sets and will be distributed to visually‑impaired children and those from multicultural families who lack access to reading material. The campaign, called “Better Tomorrow Studio,” is part of a broader joint corporate‑social‑responsibility effort as the airlines prepare for a pending integration.
The initiative aims to let children experience stories through voice, extending the airlines’ in‑flight‑broadcast expertise to community outreach.
