Hanjin to manage emergency relief logistics for Venezuela

Hanjin has been selected as the logistics provider for the ‘Venezuela Earthquake Emergency Relief Supplies Transport Project’ organized by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The initiative aims to support Venezuelan citizens displaced by an earthquake that occurred in June.

Hanjin will manage the entire transport process for 500 emergency family tents. The logistics chain involves repacking for air transport, international air freight, and cross-border land transport. Starting in early August, the supplies will depart from Incheon International Airport, transit through Canada to Bogota, Colombia, and finally be transported by land across the border to Caracas, Venezuela.

The total transport distance is approximately 17,500 km. Hanjin is coordinating with airlines to secure urgent flights and is working closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and local embassies to ensure smooth customs clearance and land transport between Colombia and Venezuela.
