Hankook Tire ranks first in new NCSI passenger car tire category
Hankook Tire & Technology has ranked first in the newly established passenger car tire category of the 2026 third-quarter National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI). The index, jointly developed by the Korea Productivity Center and the University of Michigan, evaluates seven metrics including customer satisfaction, expectation levels, and perceived quality.
The company attributed this achievement to proactive R&D investments and its specialized infrastructure, including the Techno Plex headquarters, the Hankook Technodome high-tech research center, and the Hankook Technoring test track. Hankook Tire currently supplies original equipment (OE) tires to approximately 300 vehicle models across 40 global automotive brands.
Recent OE supplies include premium models such as the Porsche 911 Carrera, BMW i7, and Ford Mustang Mach-E. In the electric vehicle sector, the company is expanding its presence through its dedicated iON brand, supplying tires for models including the Porsche Taycan, Lucid Gravity, BMW i4, and various Hyundai and Kia EV models. The company also utilizes data from motorsports, such as the FIA World Rally Championship, to refine technology for internal combustion, electric, and next-generation mobility vehicles.
