Hankook Tire wins six Red Dot Design Awards

Hankook Tire & Technology has won six awards in the design concept category of the Red Dot Design Award 2026. The company received two ‘Best of the Best’ awards and four ‘Winner’ awards, meaning all of its entries were recognized.

The two ‘Best of the Best’ honors were awarded to ‘i-Flex Gen 2’, a next-generation airless concept tire optimized for electric and autonomous vehicles, and ‘Medi Buddy’, an AI-powered mobile medical mobility design developed in collaboration with the Korea Institute of Design Promotion. ‘Medi Buddy’ is designed to interact with hospitalized children to reduce anxiety using autonomous and AI technologies.

Four additional ‘Winner’ awards were granted for projects focusing on sustainability and future mobility, including the ‘Bladder Upcycling Series’ from the ‘re:move’ project, the ‘Concept S’ eco-friendly tire vision, the spherical ‘Wheelbot 2’ concept, and the ‘Bloom’ smart urban canopy. The winning works are scheduled for a special exhibition at the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore.
