Hankyu Hanshin launches community art projects for railway lines
Hankyu Hanshin Holdings is advancing its ‘Hankyu Hanshin Future Dream Town Project’ through new community-focused art initiatives.
As part of the project, an art workshop will be held at the Katsura Depot on the Hankyu Kyoto Line on November 1, 2026. Participants, including middle and elementary school students, will create artwork based on the theme ‘a town where people want to live in the future.’ These works will be combined to create a mural decorating the side walls of the depot’s train car wash machine, which will be viewable from the Katsura Station platform.
Additionally, the company has finalized four winning designs for the ‘Yume-machi Action Go’ train headmarks. These designs, which reflect dreams for the future and community connections, will be displayed on four train sets across the Hankyu and Hanshin lines starting October 1, 2026. The initiative aims to encourage diverse generations to think about and collaborate on building sustainable local communities.
