Hannibal television series features Mads Mikkelsen

The television series ‘Hannibal’ explores the psychology of the notorious serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter, based on the novels by Thomas Harris. In this adaptation, Mads Mikkelsen takes over the iconic role previously defined by Anthony Hopkins.

Created by Bryan Fuller, the three-season series follows FBI Special Agent Jack Crawford as he enlists the help of profiler Will Graham to investigate gruesome murders. Graham, who possesses the ability to empathize with the minds of killers, works alongside Dr. Lecter, though his connection to the psychiatrist becomes increasingly dangerous as he struggles to maintain his grip on reality.

Critics have praised the series for its visual style and Mikkelsen’s performance, with The Guardian noting his brilliance in the role.
