Hannover awards companies for promoting workplace diversity

The third annual ‘Zukunft braucht Vielfalt Award’ (Future Needs Diversity Award) was presented during the ‘Seh-Fest’ event in Hannover, Germany. The awards recognize companies in the region that actively promote diversity, democratic values, and inclusive corporate cultures.

In the ‘Democracy’ category, the cooperative fairKauf eG received recognition for its commitment to social participation and its ‘one member – one vote’ principle, which ensures equal decision-making power regardless of capital contribution. The Löwenapotheke Hannover was honored in the ‘Role Model’ category for its support of international specialists and flexible working models, while Fair Facility was recognized in the ‘Diversity of Perspectives’ category.

Regional officials emphasized that diversity serves as a critical success factor for economic resilience, helping companies navigate challenges such as skilled labor shortages and digital transformation by fostering innovation through varied perspectives.
