Hannover Messe 2025 focuses on AI and industrial innovation

The Hannover Messe 2025 showcased global innovation, featuring over 4,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries. A primary focus of this year's event was artificial intelligence and its role as a disruptive driver for industry, the economy, and society.

During the event, CDU politician Uwe Dorendorf participated in a panel discussing the future of the German Mittelstand. Dorendorf highlighted that small and medium-sized enterprises, which constitute 99.2% of all German companies, are facing significant challenges due to excessive bureaucracy, high energy prices, skilled labor shortages, and slow digitalization. These factors have contributed to declining revenues and investments since 2023.

Regarding technological potential, Dorendorf noted that McKinsey estimates artificial intelligence could increase GDP by up to 585 billion euros by 2040.

As a major international hub for industry and technology, the Hannover exhibition grounds offer approximately 1.4 million square meters of total area, including nearly 400,000 square meters of covered exhibition space. The site provides extensive infrastructure, including a convention center with over 30 flexible rooms, to support large-scale technical trade fairs and congresses.
