Hannover Messe 2026 Highlights AI, Robotics and Energy Tech

The Hannover Messe 2026 industrial fair, held on 25 July 2026, showcased artificial intelligence, robotics, automation and energy infrastructure as central themes for the future of manufacturing. About 110,000 visitors from 146 countries attended, representing a drop in numbers due to airline and public‑transport strikes but still drawing a highly international audience—roughly 40% were foreign, with the largest contingents from China, Brazil, the United States, Japan and South Korea.

The event attracted increased participation from senior executives of DAX companies and political decision‑makers, who used the venue for networking and technology scouting. Over 3,000 exhibitors displayed solutions ranging from AI‑driven smart‑factory systems to traditional electromechanical equipment. The fair also highlighted EU initiatives such as an AI regulation for small‑and‑medium enterprises and the publication “Künstliche Intelligenz für industrielle Systeme”, and featured a presentation on the Einstein Telescope project.
