Hannover S-Bahn Line S5 Rents Additional Trains Until September 2026

From 5 August 2026 through 27 September 2026, the S‑Bahn Hannover will operate extra train sets on line S5 (Bad Pyrmont – Hameln – Hannover Airport). The additional services are provided by Train Rental GmbH (TRI) and run daily, including weekends.

To assist passengers, especially those with reduced mobility, the operator will station extra customer‑service staff at the airport and equip the rented train cars with lift systems and clearly marked compartments. Travelers are advised to pre‑register any assistance needs via the Deutsche Bahn mobility service and to check schedules through the DB Navigator, DB Fahrplan or the Üstra app before departure.
