Hannover to host 26th German Youth Firefighter Day in 2026

The 26th German Youth Firefighter Day is scheduled to take place in Hannover from September 4 to 6, 2026. Organized by the Deutsche Jugendfeuerwehr (DJF) in cooperation with the Niedersächsische Kinder- und Jugendfeuerwehr (NKJF) and the Hannover Regional Youth Fire Brigade, the event includes an official opening ceremony at Opernplatz, training sessions, and a delegates' assembly.

The weekend will culminate on Sunday with the German Championship in the federal competition and the NKJF Lower Saxony Cup at the Erika-Fisch-Stadion. The event is supported by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and is expected to host hundreds of young firefighters.
