Hanoi accelerates medical data digitalization and free health screenings
Hanoi authorities have launched an initiative to accelerate periodic health screenings and digitize medical data by integrating it with the national VNeID ecosystem. Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Vu Thu Ha, issued a directive to resolve bottlenecks in technological infrastructure, funding, and grassroots medical personnel to meet social welfare goals.
The plan involves synchronizing individual medical data with specialized databases and the VNeID application for electronic identification and authentication. The Hanoi Department of Health will oversee the updating of examination results into electronic health records to ensure continuous, lifelong health management. Additionally, the Department of Education and Training will integrate student health results into both electronic records and the HanoiCheck system.
In a related development, Hanoi has set a target to provide free health screenings for 100% of children and students before the 2026-2027 school year, with results being digitized for long-term management.
