Hanoi approves resettlement for 189 households for Pearl Theater project
The People's Committee of Tây Hồ district has asked the Hanoi People's Committee to allocate land in Thu Lam commune for the resettlement of 189 households affected by the Pearl Theater (Nhà hát Ngọc Trai) and Cultural Arts Park development. The project covers about 212,730 m², including heritage, residential, agricultural and district‑managed land.
Phase 1 of the project, comprising the theater complex (93,339 m²) and a parking lot (4,016 m²), required the displacement of 131 households; the district has reclaimed roughly 8.1 ha and handed the site to the investor. Phase 2 involves 260 cases (252 families and 8 public‑land instances). Authorities have completed investigations, approved 19 relocation plans and reclaimed land for 13 cases, with the remaining cases pending verification and expected to be settled by September 2026.
The district is also advancing the first stage of the Đặng Thai Mai road, having finished land clearance and basic concrete work, aiming to complete the road and landscaping by September 2026. Chairman Vũ Đại Thắng inspected the projects on 1 August, noting significant progress in land acquisition and construction.
