Hanoi bar owner led ring trafficking over 100kg of drugs
The Hanoi People's Court is scheduled to begin the trial of Vũ Quang Minh, Nguyễn Hoàng Linh, and Nguyễn Thị Ninh for illegal drug trafficking. The group is accused of handling nearly 107kg of narcotics, including 24.5kg of Ketamine and 82.2kg of MDMA.
Investigations revealed that Minh, a bar owner, orchestrated the operation after facing business losses. The group used a rented apartment in the Goldmark City luxury complex in Hanoi as a storage warehouse, paying 15 million VND per month for the space.
Ninh acted as the primary handler, receiving shipments via courier services and storing them in the apartment. Orders were coordinated through the Telegram messaging app, specifying quantities and delivery addresses. For local customers, Ninh delivered the drugs personally, while for distant buyers, the narcotics were sent via motorbike taxis or delivery services. The drugs were reportedly sourced from abroad.
