Hanoi bridge construction accelerates for 2027 completion

Major bridge construction projects in Hanoi are accelerating to improve connectivity across the Red River.

The Ngoc Hoi Bridge project is currently utilizing 20 construction sites. Land clearance in Hanoi is 100% complete, with Hung Yen reaching 97.6%. The project aims to complete its main bridge and approach components before the 2027 APEC Conference, with a target completion date of August 2027. Current progress shows the project has achieved approximately 22.36% of its contract value.

Simultaneously, the Tu Lien Bridge project is working toward a technical opening by October 10, 2027. This 5.15km project will connect the Nghi Tam area with Truong Sa road, spanning the Red River and Duong River. Construction is operating on a three-shift, four-crew schedule to maintain momentum. Key milestones include the completion of 84 out of 84 bored piles for the main bridge and the progress of various approach roads and interchanges in Dong Anh and Nghi Tam. All bored piles for the project are expected to be finished by the end of 2026.
