Hanoi car collision involves student crossing the street
In Tay Mo, Hanoi, a white car struck a young boy while attempting to pass a group of students crossing the street. A security guard had been signaling for the group to cross at a pedestrian crossing, but the vehicle failed to slow down and collided with the child. Following the impact, the driver spoke through the window before leaving the scene.
Safety experts emphasize that drivers must reduce speed and maintain high alertness in school zones. They note that vehicles are required to yield to pedestrians at marked crossings and must stop when a guide is signaling a group to cross safely.
