Hanoi commences large-scale multi-purpose urban projects

Hanoi has commenced construction on three large-scale multi-purpose urban projects, ranging from 300 to 600 hectares. A key factor in the progress of these developments has been high levels of public consensus regarding land clearance and compensation.

In the Linh Nam area, residents have expressed support for the Linh Nam multi-purpose urban area and resettlement project, which covers 200 hectares. Many residents have requested early compensation payments, noting that agricultural land compensation rates are expected to be twice the regulated price. The city's strategy emphasizes that resettlement must precede land recovery to ensure residents can transition smoothly, with projects prioritizing commercial and service spaces alongside residential amenities.
