Hanoi distributes 2,900 billion VND in compensation for urban projects

Authorities in the Ô Chợ Dừa ward of Hanoi have begun distributing 2,900 billion VND in compensation for land clearance related to an urban infrastructure project. The project aims to develop parking lots, greenery, and flower gardens in the area between Ring Road 1 and La Thành Street, with completion expected by 2027.

To ensure safety during the distribution of these large sums, local police provided escorts for residents carrying cash to their homes. Additionally, police officers were present to warn citizens about potential scams targeting those receiving large payouts. The compensation process involved 164 households and two organizations, with banking representatives on-site to assist residents with immediate deposits.
