Hanoi firefighters rescue five people from two separate fires
Two separate fires occurred in Hanoi on August 14, resulting in the rescue of several individuals trapped in buildings.
In the first incident at an alley on Hoang Hoa Tham Street, a fire broke out in a five-story house. While local residents and police managed to control the flames, a 55-year-old woman remained trapped on the fifth floor. Firefighters successfully rescued her, and she was reported to be in stable condition. The fire, which covered approximately 0.5 square meters in a fourth-floor bedroom, was suspected to have been caused by an electrical fan malfunction.
Later that evening, a second fire broke out at a fashion store on Nguyen Luong Bang Street in Dong Da District. The fire originated on the first floor of the three-story building. Four people were trapped on the upper floors but were safely rescued by firefighters after being guided to a ventilated area on the roof. Authorities prevented the flames from spreading to adjacent residents or higher floors.
