Hanoi firefighters rescue person trapped in 7th-floor elevator

Hanoi firefighters successfully rescued a person trapped in an elevator at a residence on Au Co Street, Tay Ho District, during the early hours of September 11, 2026.

Emergency services received the call at approximately 00:29. Upon arrival, the Firefighting and Rescue Police Team identified that the elevator was stuck on the 7th floor with one individual inside. Using specialized hydraulic tools and technical equipment, rescuers managed to create a gap and open the cabin doors.

The rescue operation lasted approximately 15 minutes. The individual was brought out safely and was reported to be in stable physical and mental condition following the incident.
