Hanoi hosts international children's art competition
Over 700 children from Vietnam and various international locations participated in an art competition in Hanoi themed ‘I Love Hanoi - City for Peace’. The event was organized by the Union of Friendship Organizations of Hanoi, the Hanoi Peace Committee, and the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Targeting children aged 6 to 14 living in the capital, the competition encouraged participants to depict Hanoi through their own perspectives, including its streets, landmarks, and daily life. The initiative aims to promote Hanoi’s image as a creative and peaceful city, a title recognized by UNESCO in 1999, while fostering a spirit of friendship and solidarity among international youth.
Participants included students from local schools and international clubs, with representation from countries such as the United Kingdom, Argentina, India, Belarus, South Korea, the United States, Indonesia, Italy, South Africa, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Sweden, and Turkmenistan.
