Hanoi implements digital birth registration for 278,000 children

Hanoi Social Security has reported significant progress in digital administrative reforms through the implementation of Project 06. The agency has successfully integrated procedures for birth registration, permanent residence registration, and the issuance of health insurance and identity cards for children under six years old via the National Public Service Portal.

To date, the agency has completed integrated birth registration and health insurance card issuance for 278,171 children under the age of six. Additionally, the agency has processed death benefits and funeral allowances for 1,232 cases. A major technical achievement includes the verification of 8,587,005 cases against the National Population Database, reaching a 99.70% accuracy rate, which helps eliminate manual verification and reduces administrative paperwork.
