The Phương Trạch pump station upgrade in Hanoi’s northern districts has completed the first phase, but the new Phương Trạch 2 component remains stalled. The project, covering 15.26 ha and affecting 460 households, is awaiting land clearance from the Vĩnh Thanh commune, pushing the target hand‑over to August 2026.
At the same time, seven major bridge projects crossing the Red River are being accelerated. Several bridges, such as the Tứ Liên and Thượng Cát crossings, have achieved 100 % land acquisition and progressed to structural works. Other projects, including the Ngọc Hồi and Trần Hưng Đạo bridges, report land‑clearing rates between 56 % and 95 %, with ongoing challenges in Hưng Yên province and around military zones. Collectively, the bridges represent contracts worth billions of Vietnamese đồng, with substantial portions of foundation work already completed.
