Hanoi International Marathon enters 5th season with heritage focus

The 5th edition of the Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon is set to take place, featuring routes that traverse both historic streets and modern urban areas of the capital. The event aims to showcase Hanoi’s cultural and historical depth through a 42.195 km course and various other distances.

A key highlight of this season is the art exhibition titled ‘One Hanoi. A Million Steps,’ organized by Techcombank in collaboration with the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Running from September 26 to October 18, 2026, at the Hoan Kiem Lake area, the exhibition uses imagery of athletes to depict the city’s blend of tradition and modernity.

Organizers have stated that the city is prepared with necessary infrastructure, security, and medical services to support the event week. The marathon is intended to position participants as ‘heritage ambassadors,’ promoting Hanoi’s image to both domestic and international communities.
