Hanoi police charge influencers in Loramen consumer fraud investigation

Hanoi police have expanded an investigation into a fraudulent scheme involving the sale of Loramen products. Authorities have charged Nguyễn Thị Hương (known as ‘Cô giáo Hương’) and her husband, Vũ Hải Long, with ‘deceiving customers.’

According to investigators, the group collaborated with Lê Văn Phú (Phú Lê) and his wife, Lã Thúy Kiều, to produce and promote Loramen through Thiên Phú Import-Export Trading Co., Ltd. While the product was actually a topical solution for odor removal and anti-fungal use, the suspects used social media to falsely claim it could enhance male physiological functions and sexual performance. Between November 2024 and April 2026, retail revenue for the product reportedly exceeded 11.6 billion VND.

In a related development, the investigation has also implicated Khúc Thị Phương Thúy, Director of Cosmetic Garden Vietnam Co., Ltd., and accountant Dương Thị Hoa. They are accused of violating accounting regulations by maintaining dual bookkeeping systems to hide revenues. Authorities estimate that unrecorded revenue from 2022 to 2025 totaled over 25.1 billion VND, resulting in an estimated 2.4 billion VND loss in value-added tax to the state budget.
