Hanoi Medical University announces 2026 residency exam valedictorian

Nguyen Duc Anh Quan has been named the valedictorian of the 2026 medical residency exam at Hanoi Medical University. Competing against more than 1,000 candidates in the medical field, Quan achieved a score of 24.91 out of 30.

The residency exam is a critical milestone for medical students following six years of university study. At Hanoi Medical University, the exam results determine not only admission but also the order in which students select their specialties. As the top scorer, Quan earned the right to be the first to choose his specialty during Match Day.

Originally from Nghe An, Quan has a history of academic excellence. In 2020, he ranked second in his province for the B00 subject combination. He graduated from Hanoi Medical University with honors, maintaining a GPA of 8.21/10 and receiving academic scholarships for five semesters.
