Hanoi National University of Education updates 2027 SPT exam format

The Hanoi National University of Education has announced updates for the 2027 SPT competency assessment exam. A major change includes transitioning the multiple-choice section to a computer-based format. This shift aims to modernize the process, standardize data management, and facilitate university admissions.

The exam will maintain its core objectives and content, focusing on the current general education curriculum. It will continue to cover 12 subjects, including Mathematics, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Informatics, Economic and Legal Education, and Technology.

While most subjects will be entirely computer-based, Mathematics and Literature will retain a hybrid structure. In these subjects, multiple-choice questions will be answered on a computer, while essay questions will still require written responses on paper. Once a student moves to the essay portion, the multiple-choice section will be locked to prevent further edits.
