Hanoi officials investigate Kim Lien Market closure and lack of temporary sites

The Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, Vu Dai Thang, has ordered an urgent investigation into the closure of Kim Lien Market. The market was shut down due to fire safety concerns, leaving approximately 200 small traders without a place to conduct business and causing significant livelihood difficulties.

Local authorities have been instructed to verify reports that no temporary trading locations were provided following the closure. The Kim Lien Ward People's Committee is tasked with proposing a temporary business arrangement that complies with fire safety, security, urban order, and environmental hygiene regulations. The goal is to address the legitimate grievances of the traders and prevent social instability in the area.
