Hanoi outlines 2027 plan for collective economy and cooperatives

Hanoi has issued a development plan for its collective economy and cooperatives for 2027. The plan aims to link cooperative activities with product value chains, green and circular economies, digital transformation, and scientific innovation.

Key objectives include establishing at least 150 new cooperatives and unions. The city intends to develop 50 high-tech agricultural cooperative models focused on sustainable value chains, aiming for an average annual revenue of 3.8 billion VND per cooperative. Additionally, the plan focuses on restructuring small or inefficient cooperatives through mergers to improve governance and multi-sectoral service capabilities.
