Hanoi Party Secretary Trần Đức Thắng sets dual‑digit growth target for 2026
On 30 July, Hanoi Party Secretary Trần Đức Thắng chaired a standing committee meeting to review the city’s performance in the first half of the year and to set priorities for the remainder of 2026. The conference identified ten key task groups aimed at achieving a “two‑digit” economic growth target by the end of the year.
The plan calls for flexible growth scenarios, rapid resolution of business obstacles, and a focus on expanding processing, manufacturing, electronics‑semiconductor, and digital industries. It also seeks to accelerate infrastructure investment in industrial zones, boost commerce, services, tourism, e‑commerce, and stimulate consumer demand, while ensuring at least 95 % of the public investment budget is disbursed. The city will mobilise clean land reserves to attract large‑scale, high‑technology foreign direct investment and implement a 100‑day digital transformation push alongside administrative reforms.
