Hanoi police bust SEO firm behind illegal online gambling sites

Hanoi police arrested Pham Ngoc Manh, director of Media Service Supermarket SEO Ltd, and 17 staff members for providing advertising and search‑engine optimisation services to illegal gambling websites. Investigators said the firm promoted 22 Vietnamese‑language gambling sites, handling payments through 41 cryptocurrency wallets in USDT and cashing most salaries.

Authorities seized more than VND 7 billion in cash and crypto‑derived assets, a VND 3 billion savings account, 29 computers and 41 mobile phones. The operation, uncovered through a joint effort of the criminal police, cyber‑security and high‑technology crime units, revealed profits of about VND 3.7 billion from the illicit promotion scheme.
