Hanoi police investigate brain injury of 6-year-old boy at intervention center

Hanoi police have released a forensic assessment regarding a 6-year-old boy, identified as M., who sustained a traumatic brain injury while attending the Hy Vong Intervention Center in Son Dong. The assessment indicates a 39% body injury rate.

The injuries, which include bruising around the left eye, temple, and right crown, are consistent with blunt force trauma. The boy's father, Nguyen Dang Hieu, reported that the child, who has autism and speech delays, was taken to the center on August 6. Although a teacher claimed the child had fallen, the family observed severe injuries and symptoms including vomiting and loss of consciousness, leading to emergency surgery.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident to determine the exact cause of the injuries.
